A Different Way to Do Therapy
I pride myself on building a treatment plan that makes sense for YOU. While I am often called "the best listener," I also consider meaningful feedback to be an important part of the therapy process. Depending on your wants and needs, I may suggest specific worksheets, journal exercises, mindfulness practices, self-care activities or other exercises to enhance your progress between sessions.
I like to strike a balance between exploring the past and how it may be limiting you, and making concrete changes in the present through therapies such as CBT. What this balance looks like depends on who you are and what you want your therapy to look like. My style is open and collaborative. My only agenda is your well-being.
Many therapists see between 8 and 10 clients per day. This is called “turn and burn” therapy, and it is not a practice I believe in. I can see how this makes money for therapists, but I can’t see how it helps clients.
I believe you deserve my full attention, presence, devotion and care. That is why I see only four or five clients in a day - and never, ever more than six!
